Open enrollment period to add dependents for Part-Time Employees (20-29 hours) or to enroll yourself and dependents for Full-Time Employees (30+ hours) is 31 calendar days after hire date.
Early arrival employees who have not previously had AcademicBlue SHIP coverage and expect to gain eligible AGS employment on 09/01/2023. Coverage for yourself and dependents is from 08/01/2023 - 08/31/2023. Full premium is paid directly to AHP.
If you want dependent coverage for the new plan year starting 09/01/2023, you must enroll your dependents by 10/01/2023, even if they are covered through 08/31/2023. Otherwise, your AcademicBlue SHIP coverage will automatically continue for only you. You do not need to take action during the enrollment period if you don’t want dependent coverage starting 09/01/2023.
